Solid Foods Are a Solid Pain in the Ass
We started Will on veggies! So far he (barely) likes squash, avocado, banana and sweet potatoes. Carrots and peas made him gag (which I took pictures of because I’m a nice mom). He’s not super excited to eat any of it. How is he my child? I thought once I gave him some fruit he would like due to the sweetness, but not really. Kids are weird.
All of his clothes are stained now as well. I have had to literally throw away onesies because I couldn't get the orange stains out. Even when you use a bib, it gets in places you can't imagine. He can't be the dirty kid in class.
I do feel like I am constantly feeding him. At my mommy group a few women commiserated with me. If its not a bottle its food time. What about my day? I forgot, no one cares about that anymore :)
I’ve been making his food for now. I bought some pouches for when we’re on the go. I am dreading having to feed him in public, it is a disaster. Our life is super glam.
Will LOVES the Plum Organics teething wafers and puffs. it is all he ever wants to eat. I’m pretty certain I will be sending these to his college dorm.
He just had a stomach virus, which lasted FOREVER (1 week), so we had to take a little break from the solids. I haven’t been puked on this much since college. Then I got the virus, which was an excellent diet.
He was probably thrilled he didn’t have to eat. We just started again and he is liking feeding himself. Baby lead weaning is the way to go for us. He prefers carbs to produce. Who doesn’t though?
I keep thinking about his poop and what it will be like when he's really downing solids. Send help.
PS- Bruno is loving his new snacks!
