Who Needs Teeth Anyway?
Will is 8 months now and has 0 teeth!
He started drooling at 3 months and I thought he would get teeth early like a freak show. But he didn’t. Ever. I brought it up to his pediatrician in regards to chewing solid foods and he said its fine because the first teeth they get aren’t chewing teeth anyway.
He also said that it can take up to 12 months to get teeth which is what happened to my husband. Weirdo.
His drooling has subsided and I think he is FINALLY about to get a tooth. This past week he has been a misery. My happy, easy, calm boy is not thrilled. He is chewing on everything like a monster. Our favorite teether is the Baby Banana Brush, which Bruno has eaten 3 of and 1 corn teether. Such a nice guy!
Will's sleep has been good the past few days but earlier this week he woke up in the middle of the night crying for no reason at all, and has had a hard time putting himself to sleep a few times. As we all know, homey (mommy) don’t play dat.
I have been giving him some tylenol which seems to help. Although I still don’t see any teeth poking through, he must be in pain. He also has every hideous symptom. Boogers, cranky for no reason, teething like an animal. He keeps sticking his tongue out like Gene Simmons etc. He is just not himself and he's not sick.
So let’s hope for a tooth or else he is having a mental breakdown at 8 months of age. I'll keep you all posted!
