One Boy, Two Teeth and Two Ear Infections.

One Boy, Two Teeth and Two Ear Infections.

Dos teeth tho...

Dos teeth tho...

It has been a crazy few weeks around here. Will has become a grown ass man at the ripe age of 9 months. He finally has teeth!

Since these babies popped out so late, he got 2 at a time. As a consolation prize for getting teeth, he has gotten 2 ear infections- one pre-teeth and one post teeth. Ugh.

The pediatrician thinks that his bad allergies are causing him to get the ear infections. Apparently if he gets more infections, he will need to get tubes. I’m told to do this sooner rather than later.

Anyway, both of his ear infections went down exactly the same way. So the second time around I knew exactly what it was-awful. We had just gotten back from vacation where we actually felt cool again. Thank god motherhood burst that bubble very quickly. As a welcome home present we got a horrible night where he couldn’t sleep longer than 30 min without screaming bloody murder, a fever that wouldn’t go away, and just an overall horrible and mushy feeling. When I called the pediatrician’s office the first time, the nurse said it’s probably a virus, but I could tell it was something more and sure enough it was his ear. Mommy instinct is real man.

He is now on his second course of antibiotics for 10 days. It is SUPER easy giving medicine to an active, almost 10 month old, so this is very fun…

I used to love the bubble gum medicine...why is Will’s palate too refined for amoxicillin?

Torture aside, I am happy that he finally has teeth!

I swore I saw them coming in and all of the haters (his doctors) said no. His gums were never red or swollen. We had a bad night of sleep and then there they were! The bottom two beauties. Finally, he no longer looks homeless.

It’s pretty crazy that we will go through this 500 more times. There are so many more teeth left to come in…

Hopefully he won’t get anymore ear infections (naive AF).

His chompers are pretty damn cute!

I’m tired
